Apan Mudra – the mudra is also known as the sum of hands. These hand gestures help in transmitting the flow of energy through the body. They also help in balancing the five elements present inside the body.
Apaan mudra is also known as purification currency. It helps to extend the balance of the elements of space and earth within the body.
About mudra is usually called cleaning mudra or energy posture. It generates energy within the liver and gallbladder and supports balance and harmony. It also improves digestion and it’s believed that practicing this mudra can delay childbirth.

Apan mudra is a relatively simple pose. You can easily do this by following these steps of Apan Mudra :
- Â Stand or sit upright.
- Bring your hands ahead of you and bend the middle and ring finger and thumb in order that their tips touch one another.
- Your index finger and little finger should be pointing straight.
- Apan mudra is usually done with both hands.
- Posture should be held for at least 30 minutes.
- You can divide it into three sessions of 10 to 15 minutes each
